About Michal Strnad

Michal Strnad is the owner of Czechoslovak Group, a group in which he has been active for ten years. As 100% owner and Chairman of the Board, Michal primarily focuses on new acquisitions and key business projects. Under his leadership, the Group was transformed into a diversified holding company operating in the automotive, rail, aerospace and defence industries.

Thanks to Michal's leadership, Czechoslovak Group has become a mature corporation with strong management and sophisticated processes. At the same time, it has retained the flexibility and efficiency of the family business it was in its early days. Jaroslav Strnad, Michal's father, took the first steps towards the creation of this prosperous Group when he founded Excalibur Army in 1995, which formed the core of the future holding.

Our usual strategy for corporate acquisitions is not to buy – appreciate – sell on, but to buy – own long term – develop.

Michal Strnad joined his father's company in 2011 and gradually held various positions in the expanding holding, thanks to which he got to know the Group perfectly. In 2015, he became Chairman of the Board of Directors of Czechoslovak Group and in 2018 its owner.

Michal considers it his top priority to exploit the great potential of the companies that are already part of the holding, both by investing in their modernisation and by developing a global sales network. The Group therefore also includes the sales representation of Excalibur International.

The owner and his team are constantly pursuing new acquisition opportunities, especially focusing on small and medium-sized companies with attractive products and strong export potential.

Although Michal is a very active owner and manager with a strong will, he is above all a team player. The basic team, thanks to which Czechoslovak Group was founded and grew into its present form, is the Strnad family.

In managing a holding company employing more than 14,000 people in several countries, Michal relies on a strong management team to help him create the success of Czechoslovak Group.
