As of April 15, 2025, the industrial and technology group CSG has become the sole owner of the Fiocchi Group, which includes the Italian small-caliber ammunition manufacturer Fiocchi Munizioni, its U.S. subsidiary Fiocchi of America, Italian brand Baschieri & Pellagri, and UK-based Lyalvale Express. CSG has held a majority 70% stake in Fiocchi since 2022 and has now acquired the remaining 25% from the Fiocchi family and 5% from the Charme Capital investment fund.
Thanks to the acquisition of Fiocchi in 2022 and, more notably, the completion of the acquisition of the American The Kinetic Group in November 2024, CSG has become a leading producer of small-caliber ammunition in the Western world. David Chour, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of CSG, commented: “We have succeeded in building a strong division of global small-caliber ammunition manufacturers. Given the success of this project, we decided to take full control of the Fiocchi Group. CSG’s goal is to continue developing productionproduct portfolio and invest in the modernization and automation of all operations.”
The product portfolio of the companies integrated into the Fiocchi group is already quite extensive. Fiocchi ammunition is used by hunters and sport shooters, while approximately 30 percent of Fiocchi's production is supplied to armed forces and police departments. This effort is already underway and is supported by the group’s strong innovation potential. A notable example is the Green Core product line – environmentally friendly ammunition made from biodegradable materials that fully decompose in nature within one year.
Paolo Salvato, CEO of Fiocchi says: “Fiocchi is thriving under the CSG Group, and the group of companies it now comprises benefits from a strong owner with a clear vision and future. We will continue to develop outstanding products for hunters, sport shooters, and security forces, and bring them to global markets. The CSG Ammo+ division – thanks in part to the acquisition of The Kinetic Group – is a leader in small-caliber ammunition production in the Western world, and I am proud to be part of such a strong collective.”
Paolo Salvato adds: "As Fiocchi Group CEO I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Fiocchi family for their extraordinary commitment and dedication over the last two centuries. Their contributions have been instrumental in shaping Fiocchi's legacy. Additionally, we extend our sincere thanks to the Charme Fund for their unwavering support and valuable contributions. We are thrilled to welcome CSG, the fastest growing European Defence Group, as our sole shareholder, working together to shape Fiocchi successes in the near future.”
The Fiocchi Group includes the parent company Fiocchi Munizioni, based in Lecco, Italy, which manufactures small-caliber ammunition for hunting, sport shooting, and security and defense forces. In the United States, the company has operated since the 1980s through its wholly owned subsidiary Fiocchi of America, which also handles the distribution of Baschieri & Pellagri products in the U.S. market. Baschieri & Pellagri is a premium shotgun ammunition brandwith a focus on green ammunition and has been part of the Fiocchi Group since 2020. In 2022, the group expanded with the addition of UK-based Lyalvale Express, another specialist in shotgun ammunition production.
