On Thursday, July 31, representatives of the Pardubice-based company Retia and Brno-based INTEQ Group signed a contract for the sale of ReDat Recording. This company, previously a subsidiary closely linked with Retia, will now be fully owned by INTEQ Group. According to the agreement, the new owner acquired a 100% stake in ReDat Recording. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction price.
As of July 31 this year, ReDat Recording officially became part of the INTEQ Group. The company currently employs several dozen staff. ReDat Recording had long operated as a part of Retia, which is a member of the CSG Aerospace division of the CSG Group. It was established as an independent entity last year.
"ReDat was for many years a valuable and profitable part of Retia and CSG Aerospace. However, in recent years, our focus has shifted to areas that are only indirectly or distantly related to its activities. That is why we decided to sell the company. We want to concentrate on our core business—developing and manufacturing technologies and systems for aviation and defense. Therefore, now is the right time for ReDat to transition to a new owner that is more closely aligned with its area of expertise. We are confident that INTEQ Group will provide the right environment for further development and support its economic and technological growth," said Aleš Klepek, CEO of the CSG Aerospace division.
INTEQ Group operates in the field of information technologies and services. One of its subsidiaries is Intesys, a key supplier particularly in the area of transport telematics. With the acquisition of ReDat Recording, it expands and strengthens its product portfolio.
"The acquisition of a stake in ReDat Recording is fully aligned with the long-term strategy of INTEQ Group to strengthen its position, particularly in the field of transport telematics, including both railway and road projects. ReDat Recording's product portfolio and sector focus naturally complement INTEQ Group's existing offerings. Integrating ReDat Recording into the INTEQ Group will enable the use of numerous synergies and cooperation on joint projects, particularly in the railway sector," explained Martin Kovařík, member of the INTEQ Group Board of Directors and managing director of Intesys.
ReDat Recording’s main product is the sophisticated ReDat system for recording voice, video, and other relevant data, which are automatically analyzed and made available in a clear and structured form to personnel involved in control processes across various industries. ReDat is widely used in contact centers, dispatch centers, banks, airports, air traffic control systems, mobile operators, railway infrastructure management, emergency services, and more. The development of ReDat began at Retia in 1995.
