MSPO 2024: Companies of the Czechoslovak Group and Tatra will exhibit at the largest defense fair in Central Europe

From September 3 to 6, the 32nd edition of the MSPO trade fair, which ranks among the largest events of its kind in Europe, will take place in Kielce, Poland. Every year, major global manufacturers of defense and security technology from all over the world come to this city in the south-east of Poland, but there are also small, specialized companies and service providers. Companies belonging to the Czechoslovak Group (CSG) and the Tatra automobile company have also been among the leading and regular participants of the MSPO fair for many years.

This year, in addition to Tatra, MSM Group, Tatra Defence Vehicle, Retia, Excalibur Army and Czechoslovak Export will participate in the MSPO fair. The companies will present their products and services in Hall D at joint stand No. 77 and also on the outdoor exhibition areas ZB-8 and ZF-6. At the outdoor exhibition, Tatra will present the brand-new military Tatra Force 3rd generation in the flatbed version with a 6x6 chassis. Tatra trucks are well known in Poland and many of them are also used in the Polish armed forces. Tatra company is aware of the importance of the Polish market, which is why this new product will be presented in Poland shortly after the world premiere, which took place at Eurosatory 2024. The new truck is equipped with a modernized air-cooled eight-cylinder Tatra engine and has a new cabin with many safety features as well as a modern interior including a digitalized dashboard.

Another exhibitor at the joint stand of the CSG group will be the MSM Group company from the CSG Defense division, which includes several manufacturers of modern medium-calibre and large-calibre ammunition. ZVS is a traditional Slovak company that has been specializing in artillery ammunition for decades. He will bring to Kielce a sample of artillery ammunition in the standard 155 mm NATO calibre as well as in 122 mm calibre and various types of igniters and components for these types of ammunition. Another Slovak company VOP Nováky will show the entire range of practice ammunition in calibres 155 mm, 152 mm, 125 mm and 122 mm or mortar ammunition in calibres 60 mm, 81 mm, 98 mm or 120 mm at MSPO.

MSM Group also includes the Spanish company Fábrica de Municiones Granada. The company will present in Kielce various types of 120 mm and 105 mm tank ammunition, which is standard for all modern NATO battle tanks, as well as 105 mm NATO artillery ammunition. In addition, the Spanish company will also exhibit EOD components. The MSM Group also includes Vývoj Martin company, which will show a multi-purpose command container as well as the Disk-2 mobile airport control tower. It can provide full-scale operations at standard and field airports in demanding conditions without the need for normal infrastructure.

Tatra Defense Vehicle company (TDV), also from the CSG Defense division, specializes in the development and production of armoured land vehicles, such as the Pandur II 8x8 or TITUS. In addition, it is also engaged in the development and production of armoured superstructures and cabins for vehicles on Tatra chassis. TDV will bring to Kielce a special armoured cabin for military versions of Tatra Phoenix model line vehicles. This type of the cabin ranks among the world's best with its parameters and durability. In addition, the TADEAS vehicle on the Tatra 6x6 chassis in the version for the Polish market, which will bear the MTV 6x6 Heron designation in Poland, will also be on display at the MSPO fair. The vehicle, whose prototype was completed at TDV a few months ago and is now undergoing demanding tests, will be exhibited at the stand of the partner Polish company Huta Stalowa Wola.

The CSG Aerospace division will be represented by Retia, which will demonstrate its ReGuard multi-purpose 3D radar for detecting and tracking land and low-flying targets in Kielce. It is a very compact radar, which, thanks to its technical parameters, is ideal for systems of protection against unmanned vehicles at long distances. That is why it is also the basis of the ReCas anti-drone system, which Retia has developed and will also exhibit at the CSG stand in Kielce. Retia will also present the commercially very successful small portable radar ReTwis 5+ with the ability to detect live targets behind walls or other non-metallic obstacles. This system is already used by security forces in several countries, including the Czech Republic or the USA.

Excalibur Army company, which is part of CSG Defence, will present the entire portfolio of its production program in the form of audiovisual presentations at the fair. These are mainly modern Morana and Dita self-propelled howitzers, which have 155 mm calibre guns of the NATO standard, as well as DANA M2 howitzers with a 152 mm calibre weapon. Visitors to the CSG group's stand will also be able to familiarize themselves with other key Excalibur Army products, such as the Treva-30 rescue and evacuation vehicle or the medium-category Patriot 4x4 armoured vehicle, which is currently being introduced to the Polish Army under the designation Waran 4x4. Excalibur Army will also present engineering and special vehicles, for example AM-50EX and AM-70EX bridge carriers or the DECON decontamination vehicle, all on Tatra chassis.

Czechoslovak Export, which presented itself for the first time at the Eurosatory 2024 fair, will introduce its services and projects to visitors at the CSG group's stand. Czechoslovak Export acts as an integrator of complex projects of CSG group companies and represents them commercially in a number of regions around the world. Czechoslovak Export focuses primarily on large international projects, the supply of complex turnkey solutions, the provision of logistics and the financing of projects in the field of defense and civil industry. The CSG group's stand will also feature a presentation by the Italian company Fiocchi, which is the world's leading manufacturer of ammunition for small arms.

The significance of the MSPO fair in Kielce not only for Europe is illustrated by the prestigious names of the exhibitors as well as concrete numbers: during last year's record-breaking 31st edition, 711 exhibitors from 35 countries of the world presented themselves to the professional public and visitors on an area of more than 30,000 m2, in addition to domestic Polish producers, they were producers from the USA, Great Britain, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Turkey, but also Australia, Israel, South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Qatar or Pakistan, etc. CSG Group companies consider the MSPO fair to be the most important in Europe next to the Eurosatory in Paris, which is evidenced, for example, by the fact that they have presented some of their products here in the past in European premieres, but also by the award for CSG for the best stand design among all exhibitors in 2021 and 2023.
