Eldis Pardubice has secured an important reference contract from the Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic (ANS CR). The leading manufacturer of active radars will deliver new combined radar systems to sites located on the summit of Mount Písek in the Brdy Highlands and Buchtův Kopec in the Žďárské Hills in the Vysočina region. Both radar systems will be delivered including radomes—protective, radio-transparent covers for radar antennas. The contract is valued at EUR 10.5 million (CZK 258 million) and includes post-warranty servicing for 15 years.
Eldis Pardubice, a member of the CSG Group and its Aerospace division, won the public tender announced by ANS CR for the delivery of the two radar systems. The project will be implemented between 2025 and 2029. Eldis will supply the PISEK and BUKOP sites with the RL-2000/MSSR-1 combined primary and secondary surveillance radar. Both systems will feature radomes—domes that protect radar antennas from environmental conditions while minimally affecting signal transmission.
"Securing a reference contract from a domestic client is a major recognition of quality for any manufacturer. We greatly appreciate the trust that the state-owned Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic has placed in us," says Vladimír Vojáček, CEO of Eldis Pardubice, adding: "Once this contract is completed, our radar systems will cover the entire airspace of the Czech Republic across both civil and military infrastructure. I believe this reference will also support our negotiations with foreign organizations."

The new combined primary and secondary radar systems at the PISEK and BUKOP sites will ensure continuous secondary coverage for cooperative targets and simultaneous primary coverage for non-cooperative targets within the relevant flight levels in the Prague Flight Information Region (FIR). The solution will also include secondary surveillance radars conforming to the latest EUROCONTROL standard—EMS 4.0 (European Mode S Station, version 4.0).
Upon the completion of the radar installations—scheduled for 2029 under the signed contract—Eldis Pardubice will, with the exception of the radar serving the TMA Ruzyně airspace, be the supplier of radar systems for all major civil (PISEK, BUKOP, Brno, Ostrava) and military (Kbely, Pardubice, Čáslav, Náměšť nad Oslavou) aviation infrastructure sites, thereby covering the entire airspace of the Czech Republic with its radars.
