As of April 1st, the Italian manufacturer of high-quality shotguns for hunters and sport shooters, Armi Perazzi, has a new Chief Executive Officer. Paolo Buffoli, an experienced professional who spent 15 years at Beretta – eight of which he served as Head of Marketing and Communications – has been appointed to the position. Mauro Perazzi and Roberta Perazzi co-owners of the company, will remain part of the management team of the firm founded in 1957 by their father, Daniele Perazzi. The majority shareholder, the CSG Group, is represented on the company's board by its Chairman, Filip Šimek.
“Joining Perazzi represents a unique opportunity for me to contribute to the growth of this iconic brand, renowned for its craftsmanship and innovation. Being part of the CSG Group adds a crucial strategic dimension, opening new avenues for international expansion,” says Paolo Buffoli, who joins Armi Perazzi from Van Berkel International, where he held the role of Chief Commercial & Innovation Officer.
Armi Perazzi is an iconic and premium brand of shotguns for hunters and sport shooters. Athletes using Perazzi shotguns have won more than thirty Olympic medals. Among them is Czech sport shooter David Kostelecký, who won a gold medal in trap shooting at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and a silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Games. Perazzi shotguns are known for their impeccable, often truly artistic craftsmanship.
“My vision is to strengthen Armi Perazzi’s leadership in the sporting segment, while simultaneously reinforcing its position as a global reference brand for excellence, innovation, and performance. I believe that, through the integration of more structured processes and expansion into new markets, Perazzi can establish itself not only as the preferred choice for athletes but also as a universal symbol of quality and prestige,” says Paolo Buffoli.
In his new role, he plans to draw heavily on the experience gained during his time at Beretta. One of his personal strengths, he notes, is that he is an active shooter himself. “I have worked in the outdoor and sport shooting industry at a global level for over 15 years. I am not a hunter, but I am an amateur shooter – primarily for enjoyment. I appreciate the core values of this sport, such as preparation and focus on results,” adds Paolo Buffoli.
Since 2023, Armi Perazzi has been part of the industrial and technology group Czechoslovak Group (CSG), which also owns small-caliber ammunition manufacturer Fiocchi Munizioni in the Italian market. CSG holds an 80% stake in Armi Perazzi, while the remaining 20% is equally divided between the founder Daniele Perazzi’s children – son Mauro Perazzi and daughter Roberta Perazzi. The company is based in Botticino, in the province of Brescia, Lombardy. Within the CSG structure, Armi Perazzi is part of the Business Projects division, alongside companies such as Elton hodinářská, the maker of traditional Prim watches.
