Press releases
The industrial-technological Czechoslovak Group (CSG) has been supporting the Military Solidarity Fund of the Army of the Czech Republic for a long time. CSG supported the fund this year on the occasion of Veterans Day. CSG press spokesman Andrej Čírtek handed over a symbolic check for 200,000 crowns intended for the fund to Robert Speychal, Chairman of the Committee of the Military Solidarity Fund.

The handover took place as part of the program of the commemorative event, which takes place every year on NáměstíMíru in Prague, this year it took place on Monday, November 11. The Prague 2 district organizes it in cooperation with the Army of the Czech Republic, the Czechoslovak Legionary Community, the Association of War Veterans of the Czech Republic and the Military Historical Institute. At the event, visitors could purchase the traditional symbol of War Veterans Day – a poppy flower, visit the grove of crosses and honour the memory of fallen soldiers by laying a flower or placing a cross with a personal message. They could also watch the accompanying program or view the historical and modern military equipment on display, for example the Hector vehicle produced by the Excalibur Armycompany.

The main idea of the Military Solidarity Fund is to help soldiers and their families in difficult life situations. The fund was established on March 9, 2015 as a joint project of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic and Charity Czech Republic. The CSG and its companies are traditional partners of the Army of the Czech Republic and have been supporting events organized by the army for the public or related to charity projects for many years. CSG has already contributed several hundred thousand in contributions to the Military Solidarity Fund, both through direct financial donations and contributions obtained through charity auctions of products of companies belonging to the group. CSG also regularly participatesin collections for War Veterans Day, to which individual employees also contribute directly.
